Barium Stearate PBAS 501 Barium Stearate is a white and crystalline powder that is insoluble in water and ethanol and is also an excellent thermal stabilizer and lubricant for hard PVCs and plastics. The combination of this material with zinc, cadmium and lead stearate has a very good stabilizing effect, also due to its waterproof and lubricating properties, it is used for metalworking plastics, rubber, waxes, candle wax compounds and various greases.
